Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

PlugFile LLC ("PlugFile," "we," "us") provides software that helps Texas oil & gas operators and plugging contractors prepare state-required well-plugging compliance filings. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because our data practices are simple.

What we collect

What we don't do

How we use your information

To operate the product: prefilling forms from public RRC records, validating cement calculations, generating your filing documents, saving your drafts to your account, and providing support when you ask for it.

Where it lives

Data is stored with vetted infrastructure providers (currently Supabase for accounts and saved filings, and our hosting provider for the application) in the United States. Access is restricted by row-level security so each account sees only its own filings. Documents you upload for parsing are processed and may be sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to extract filing values; Anthropic does not train on this data.

Public records

Much of the well information PlugFile works with (API numbers, lease names, district data) comes from public Texas RRC records. Our copies of those public records are not personal information.

Retention and deletion

Saved filings remain in your account until you delete them. Email [email protected] from your account address to request export or deletion of your account and its data; we complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Cookies

We use only the cookies/local storage required for sign-in sessions. No third-party advertising cookies.

Children

PlugFile is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and the date above, and—for signed-in customers—notify you by email.
